Using a scanner or your phone camera

You can scan asset labels and serial numbers, and library copy barcodes.

1. 1Handheld USB or Bluetooth scanners work in any of those fields — they type the code as if from a keyboard.
2. 2On a computer, the camera Scan buttons work in Chrome and Edge. They are hidden in Safari and Firefox; use a handheld scanner or type the code there.
3. 3On the SomaKwetu mobile app, scanning uses the phone camera on both Android and iPhone.
